Well folks,

Here are a few moer photographs, as promised:

Another view of the brakes -

A photograph of the u-bolts (7/8ths of an inch in diameter) and the u-bolt plates (3/4ths of an inch in thickness).

Actually, for once, I was able to convince my brother to help in working on his own rig:

Kris (my brother) did a lot of the taping duties. I was proud of him.

It was funny because when my brother had his birthday party, he was showing off the Rockwells to everyone and I had to explain the why and how of things.

Well, I had to explain to some where they were and where they were going, but there was some Rockwell tech. talk involved...haha:

It was raining when I got in, but here is a fun one that a few of you might remember:

:yikes: shirt that thing is BIG.
HOLD ON TIGHT! :driving: :hammerhead:
1983 Toyota SR5 long box bobbed 17" doved 14" bed cage, 22re, w56 tranny, working on dual cases 23 spline 4.70 twin sticks driveline disco. Dana 44 front, Dana 60 rear disk brakes and ff.

Another photograph of the brakes:

It makes me a little disgruntled to think that I had to flip the wheels in to get this beast onto a trailer and the air-spigot scratched some of my red paint off. Oh well, I'll just repaint them after I get it off the trailer and back from my friend's little shop.

Here is a diagonal shot:

Should I just hack the front clip and tube it? I don't want to, but I believe it would make my radiator mounting easier.

Here are the 63" Chevs on the back with my "custom" u-bolt flip....

I believe I am going to need a leaf-clamp or two.

The next few photographs are photographs of my approach angle.

For leaf springs, I think that my approach angle is not too bad:

I know the front is a little bit higher than the rear right now, but I hope to render that correct in the near future:

This photograph is just to show the proportions or how much room the rock has in there:

A photograph of my semi-hacked front-clip so you all can decide if further hacking is necessary:

Here is the rubberized under-coating I used on the rear portion of my frame. I really like it and it seems to be good stuff:

I believe a company called "Mar-hyde" manufactures it...

The only thing is with the "Mar-Hyde" brand is that it takes about three good days to cure up, but then it is on there pretty good!

Random front brake shot:

I guess you can tell I really like the paint!

Here is something funny...my brother gets a new sticker on his rear cab window everytime I order something even though he has absolutely no Rockwell axles or parts on his truck:

I just have a few things on the back of my cab window:

Basically, I am waiting on parts and my buddy to come pick this big-o-pile-o-poopy off to his shop so I can work on it.

He won't be able to come until a couple weeks after Turkey Day, so I am stuck doing little nick-nacks until then.

I believe I am going to relocate my computer to under the dash (well I don't have a dash) or under the windshield against the firewall.

This simply will not do! haha...it is only temporary:

Will it even be possible to get a wheel in the air with the mog axles or will the spring hangers break off the frame from the weight?  It will be interesting to see you fit on some of the narrow type trails.

:gap:

Your guess is as good as mine! Let's cross are fingers and hold our breaths!

I don't know about Mog axles, but I don't think these Rockwells will be leaving the ground. Of course, in the event that a Rockwell leaves the ground, I think the hanger will stay put if it isn't too high off the ground!

Any suggestions to keep the hanger attached to the frame?

Do you have the measurement from your frame to ground?

Not right off hand, but I will measure tonight.
