I know you guys and gals haven't seen my bed in a while, so I decided to take some photographs for you all:

Primed!

I need to sand the bondo areas, but I like it and I believe it will look okay when I get done with it....

Can you see anything different with the front axle? I believe I have moved it eight inches forward of stock and about eight inches down of stock.

A lil "bondo Bob" action!  :yesnod: Making some nice progress on the first gen, keep it up :blah:

I know the shackle angle is not good, but I will change that as soon as I can get my hands on a hole saw.

I know, I know, I need to gusset the hell out of that thing, but don't worry...when I get some more free time from school, it's on....

I like how the edge of the 31X10.50 is almost even with the body/headlights, so with a larger tire diameter, the tire should easily stick out in front of the body for a reasonable approach angle....

What are you painting all you work with? Is it some sort of a rust inhibiter or just some good ole black spray paint?

MiniSimp

Yeah, a lot of triangle gussets where you can, like on the spring hangers and from the hanger back to the frame. Also round out the front where the spring eye curls, take out the pointy edges.

I believe the paint I am using has a rust inhibitor of some kind, but it is mostly just good 'ol auto sandable black primer!

I think it looks good!

Yeah, the pointy edges have already claimed a knee-cap or two, so they will be clearanced properly!

Thanks for stopping by Minisimp! I get a lot of inspiration from your rig.

Yeah i sure dig the flat black industrial look of the project so far.  :twocents: Have you come up with some sort of catchy name for her?  :ladys-man:

The industrial look is what I was going for! I totally dig anything industrial, especially women, I mean front hangers on trucks!

I have not yet really come up with a name for her. I have had some call it "the frog" because they say with the military tires I might run, the tires won't crawl over obstacles, just obliterate and "hop" over them and bounce everywhere! That is where "the frog" comes from.

I have been calling it "the sheer magnitude" with my friends lately, but I don't know if "she" shall forever be called "the sheer magnitude." What would you call her? I don't really have an "official" name yet for her....
