what kind of power are you going for?  low down?  high end?  mid-range?

i'm going to be running an engnbldr 268 on my 20R head with oversized valves, as soon as it gets back from the machine shop.  it's a 1500-5500RPM range cam.  with the 4-1 LC header i think you might see better results on a higher end cam like an engnbldr 270.

check out the specs(lift/duration and rpm usage)...you might be able to find a cam with the same range/power for less...as Clevite makes Yota cams...three stages, stock, 1 and 2...available from any NAPA or anyone who carries Clevite(DANA) engine parts...and if your gonna cam it, talk to the machine shop about getting your seat pressure higher...helps make a little more power!

you can use valve spring shims or springs from a different vehicle to bring your valve seat pressure up a little...brings a little more performance with the more aggressive cam.

that sounds kind of hackish if you ask me.  adding more preload to your valve springs will probably cause them to wear out a lot faster.  i think a double valve spring setup would be the way to go if you did that.  besides, all stiffer springs will do is make the engine able to rev higher without the valves floating!
