Just like the heading says....when did Toyota first start putting 6-digit odometers in the mini-trucks??  I would assume sometime after the 20R and early 22R's got the reputation for longevity?  I had a 1983 truck with a 6-digit.  I have also owned a 1979, and currently own a 1980, both of which did NOT have a 6-digit odometer.  So guess that put's us at either '81 or '82???  Anybody know for sure???

My 81 does not. My friends 83 does. The 82-83 gauges are the same. So I am going to say 82.

I just did a quick search here at my work, all 1981 toyota trucks here show x00,000.00 and the 82's show 000,000.00. What that means is if the programer did his job right 81's have 5-digit od's and 82's have 6.
