Ohh and one thing I have noticed, everytime I see a Toyota-exocage its always comments like "awsome", "looks good", "cool" etc. So I have gotten the impression (no offence) that those who want a exocage want it beacuse of looks :haha: :ha_ha: :talkingn: :hahaha:  :joke: :rofl2: :shake: :shake_head: :shakehead:

AND THAT IS :gay: :gay: :gay: :gay:

Anyone else with the same impression ?

really getting an exo cage depends on whether u want to keep your truck's body looking good or if you dont care about the body. i'm thinkin about making one for my nissan 87 hardbody. probly gonna make it out of 1.5" DOM tubing. lightweight, not bulky, but very strong.

Thats what i thought.  Wasn't sure because it use to be blue i think?  I wouldn't want an exo cage to look like crap either.

A exterior cage isnt a real cage IMO :lipsrsealed:

What?  an exo cage is the same thing as an inner cage just a little bigger and outside of the truck.  How is not a real cage?

I'm 6'2", and drive a single cab toyota.  If I stuffed a cage inside the cab, my big ass really would have a hard time getting in and out of the truck.  I'm gonna do an exo purely to make getting in and out easy.  The downside?  I'll have to air down to get it in and out of the
garage.

I really don't care for sheet metal anymore, its just the windshield i am worried about.  I know one thing for sure, i need some sort of cage soon.

Thats not totaly true..sure it helps,,but rocks find there way into every nook and cranny..I've seen lots of rigs with exos get body damage..sure it helps from beating the crap out of it,,but body damage is still very real..
Forgiveness is between them and god..

after putting the third cab on my rig its time for an exo, or put a full tube body on it (formula toy).
had interior cages in the past and my cab still had to be replaced after a hard roll.
the cab just rounded down to the cage, couldnt shut doors and couldnt get a windshield in any more.

mine works good, nobody bangs theyre head on the interior cage anymore. i have to replace the windshield if somehting like this happens, but a new one goes right in as the pillars and roof line are preserved.

Know where you're coming from, I'm 6'6" and I dont fit real well in rigs with interior cages.  I may do one eventually, or I may beat my sheetmetal (Oh wait, I already did! :smack: ) but if done right, I see nothing wrong with them, I've seen where they save lives, and I've seen where they look and preform like crap.  when I get the $$ I''ll probably put a cab exo on at least, but that is a ways down the road.

im not sayin that they prevent ALL body damage, sorry if i tried to feed that to yall. it prevents alot of major damage but ur right, rocks are known to get through and screw up the sheet metal no matter how careful you are, exocages just prevent alot of it.

No

If you notice, you;ll see that a lot of things "look good" "sweet" "cool" "nice ___" and so on.  Does that mean every set of swampers, every clean engine, every set of beadlocks, and body damamge is :gay: ?
