After reading about Kyota tubbing his wheel wells i thought it would try it since i will be stepping up to 37's soon.  I read both his and Chris Geigers pages on how to do it.  Didn't know of the 2 gen would be any different.  It started out hard and frusterating, then i got use to it. pictures.  BTW, i went through 4 angle grinder blades already and i am only done with the drivers side.

Hyena

I decided not to go that high up as what my marks say.  I didn't want to cut right next to the fuse panel part/computer.

Here it is all welded up.  I decided to just weld the whloe thing and not use the sealer stuff.  I am not worried about leaks.  I still have to grind it down and then paint it.  the metal i used was from the leftover parts of James's bed when he bobbed it.

  Looks nice!

What front spring packs are you running that you had to tub your fenders?

Hyena

custom toyota rear/chevy/waggy pack.  i managed to hit the fenders with 35's just a tid bit so i new i was gonna hit hard with 37's.  Axle moved forward about 1-2 inches.

MiniSimp

So even with the toy rear pack moving the axle 2" forward you still had to tub? Hmmmm....I wonder what I'll get out of my rear pack....

Hyena

Grinded down and ready for paint.

Passenger side is done too.  Turned out the same.  I am happy with them.  Wasn't too hard, just time consuming.  Went through 8 cutting wheels today, i actually bought all 9 wheels they had on the shelf.  It is a rare thing to see these good one becasue they are alwasy gone.  2 trips to the hardware store.  i think they know be by name.

Looks good. I have a little bit of rubbing with waggys that move the axle 1.5" foward and 36"iroks.Its not that bad at all. Great job!

Time to modify your seat mounts! :gap:    my seat does go all the way back and my legs are still crammed...but theres is no more room to even move it farther. I think i should tub the floor and pedles out  :joke:

That would be funny to see.  My seat is moved all the way back, at that point it just starts to hit the speakers in the back.  and i am not going to mive those  :)

That sucks, guess you are gonna need to cut the back of the cab out!

MiniSimp

No way, I fit perfect, just can't tub the fenders.
If the cab was an inch shorter and it would be buggy time.

i cut out the back of my cab on my 81 and moved the bed forward, wa-la 1st gen 4runner I could put my seat back as far I wanted.  Fenders look good brad.  I ran 36in tsl's with stock rear springs in the front with no problem.  So you should be fine.
