I've never been a big fan of twice pipes, let alone twice pipes minus one.  My opinion, leave the stainless tip off and just turn the exhaust down under the truck.  Simple

Mine comes out under the frame next to the shackle.  If I hit it on anything Id be doomed beings its tucked in there pretty decent and its short.  If you go straight out the back you'll have fumes coming in the back window but if you run it out the side it'll just go right on by.

Here is mine, it exits right under the tailgate.  Easy to do, looks good (i think it does), and it does the job.  If i hit it on a rock, then i must be stupid.

If you don't mind a little noisy you could run it up through the bed.

If you want to run it out the back, then leave off the twice pipe chrome tip and run it like hyena did.  I personally don't like to see any pipe, but regular pipe painted black is better than a massive chrome tip only coming out one side.

I am running the 2 1/4 Turbo muffler from Riebes.  Is that the one you are talkign about?  It isn't really that loud, sounds cool though.

Personally, I have mine routed out the side, behind the left rear tire pointed down at an angle!  These are the reasons why!

1.  Out the back, the pipes can be packed with mud or dirt backing into a bank accidentally.  How many of you been sitting in traffic with that mid 70's to early 80's diesel mercedes benz, and had them gas it to have a big black cloud envelope your trucks front bumper and have it come into the heaters vents!

2.  Out the side, if your starting to burn some oil or getting some moisture from a bad head gasket you can see it, generally when driving down the road!  By examining your exhaust tip you can tell if your rig is in need of a tune up, or if the carb is running too rich or lean!  This is how I found out my head gasket was going bad!  Alot of steam coming out of the tailpipe.  And what's really cool is watching the flames shoot out of the tailpipe at night when the pipe is jacked with gas. :flamer:

3.  Cut off under the truck can trap the carbon monoxide and cause the metal to rust out.  How do I know, just look at the inside of my bed, when I got the truck it had a bad exhaust leak, who knows for how long!  The frame has alot of surface rust only from the bed portion back!

bleh, flowmasters are overrated.  My 90 came with one and all it does is drone when wheeling in low gear.  So, does anyone want a free flowmaster?  As soon as I cut it out its wither going in the trash or the metal bin at work.
