alright i've heard a little bit about this biodiesel alternative fuel that you can either buy at the gas station or make at ur own home. is it worth converting your truck to or not? details please,  i'm thinking of buying an old diesel for my work truck(delivery driver so it doesnt get turned off for about 6 hours straight). does it lower ur power and gas mileage or does it stay the same? whats needed to make it? and how do u convert your truck to it and how much will it cost to buy the parts to do it?

From what I have heard you don't have to modify anything as long as you refine the fuel. You can use unrefined fuel, but will have to filter it well and switch back and forth with regular diesel fuel when starting and stooping it. Do a search on this forum for Biodiesel, there was some good links. I can't remmember what thread they were in.

Yeah check here and maybe the general section. On the power/ mileage thing, I've heard power decreases of 4% and the same mileage. For the price though, you can throw on some cheap power adders and be back to or above where you started from.
