Sqeaking Clutch?
« on: Jun 06, 2005, 05:22:13 PM »
My clutch has been making a squeeking sound when i push down on it and when i let off the clutch. has anyone else had this annoying problem? if so what did you do to fix it? any information on this pain in the A$$ plz let me know. the clutch itself is about a year old. maybe premature wear and tear? sqeaking bushings or something? well i dont know what it is and i just hope and want it to be a quick fix. thanks :_order:

Try lubing the pin that goes through the pedal arm to the M/C push rod.
Some idiots are too busy knowing it all, to ever learn anything...

and the rod that comes out of the slave to the release fork, right where it mates with the fork.

i thought about that, but he said it only squeaks when he presses in and then again when he releases...which is not a t-out bearing.  or maybe i misunderstood the post??  I know my truck does squeak where the shaft meets the clutch fork.

my personal 4runner does the same thing i have to keep it the pin lubricated... so of my passengers say it sounds like a blow-off valve when i push it down, cause it makes the sound at the right time   if you want it to stop entirely, pull the pin out and put some good marine grease in there!

I have gotten rid of the noise by putting a blow nozzle thur the fork boot and giving it a good blow.
The fine dirt in the bellhousing should help lubricate the squeak.
