clutch start cancel button

a few weeks ago, my 93 pickup wouldn't start unless pushed the clutch start cancel button first.  what does this mean? :headshake:
93 pickup,  sas'd, 36in tsl's, tundra front clip, taco bed, kenwood, apexi intake,  7mgte.

The switch at the pedal is bad or disconnected.

I thought you had to push that button every time before you start the truck?  My toy don't have it so i don't know.

no you only have to push it when you ont want to push the clutch in, (for example, starting your truck to let it wamr up while you scrape ice of the windows.  Makes it so you dont have to get in and push the clutch in to start it.)


switch is bad at the pedal, like rocksurfer said.  about a year ago, I kicked the switch off, and had to use to button, til I fixed it

That switch is so you can start it without having to depress the clutch, like when you're in a bad situation and want to crank the engine with it in gear.

So you can have it in gear and start it wihtout the clutch pressed in while holding that button?

You don't have to hold it, just push it the light will come on and then just crank. It only works once, so every time you want to use it you have to push it again.
