im looking for the link,  they do cruiser restoration work,   they have complete long blocks for like $1500

good lord that's one expensive engine to rebuild for that price i'd drop the cash on something like a ford 392(351w stroker) and be ahead of the game

dang i know i didnt expect it to cost that much to rebuild. what was it like $1600 for the rebuild kit. the motor dont really need rebuilt yet would be good for it though maybe just get a new carberator for it.

ive seen these  landcruiser engines disasembled    and the components such as crank, rods, pistons are HUGE  i mean REALLY BEEFFY   compareable to a diesel

i ould never swap a LC-6 cyl  for a v8  you would have to have a big block to get the torque thosebig ass 6's can give ya

yeh im not gonna swap it out  i just wanted to rebuild it cus i know it would get alot more power maybe hopefully better gas mileage.   i got a 390 in my ford not a 392 but not much smaller.

last i checked the land cruiser 6 only put out something like 250lbs of torque, and thats the bigger 2F.  it's really just a metric cousin of the old chevy inline 6

um not really the rods and crank of the 2F are HUGE compared to a 250 chevy


and  um  250 lbs of torque is more than the stock 350 from the same year

390 is a good engine, but is a big ole FE motor.  the 392(or 393 ive seen it as) is a windsor motor, much smaller

huh never new that i am just begining in the mechanic field. but its sumthin i shoulda known  with my grandpa being the ford guy of ford guys. and dang i didnt htink that 2f was that big i new it had power but didnt know it could be as powerfull as a  big block.  thanks for the info guys  img onna put the toosl to it and se  if i can fix my clutch release it has a really bad leak on it leaking allt he fluid out of it so i get one or 2 times to use the clucth thenit goes allt he way  down and i have to speed shift from there.

is the clutch fluid leaking at the slave  ie  on the outside of the bellhousing or is it running down the firewalll,??


the 393 i think Kyle is talking about is a bored and stroked 351 windsor,

i think its the slave i took it off tore it apart and  cleaned it out it was plugged up  pretty bad couldnt blow air through it  but i finnaly got it clean enough to get air through it now i just have to wait till tommorow to get soem brake fluid to put in it.
