No prob at all. I have no problem doing the sas etc...  but for some reason im dreading the spring perches, seems like something that must be PERFECT. Oh well, measure ten times, weld once right?      So what is your estimated completion time on the truck?  Looks to me like your about 90% done

I did most of the body and prep work on the truck, rented a booth, and had someone help me spray it

Perches aren't too bad, I've done them a bunch of times.  Just make sure you have a torch to get'em off because its a major pain in the  :moon:  with a cut off wheel.  I'm not really sure how soon I will have this thing done.  I just ordered a Off-Road Solutions conversion harness for my truck and ETA is like 6 weeks!!!  :shocking:   I guess that will give me time to get the fuel system plumbed and everything else done.  :flamer:

Wow, looks REALLY SICK! :ladys-man:  You need to update your avatar and get some :respekt:

What paint did you use to paint your frame and suspension black? Just regular engine black or what? I am going to do that for my plans this summer. I think I'll use some flat black Kylron..... But I dont know if there is some small rusting areas it will just eat through the paint. :dunno:

Thanks bigmike, I used krylon rust tought semi-flat paint for the frame and engine compartment.  It seems to cover pretty good.  If you have any rust popping up steel brush it, and brush some "Rust Mort" it kills rust and turns it to black primer.  I'm pretty lucky with my truck, there is no rust anywhere!  I got it from the original owner back in November, and it had never been out of Roseville, (where I live)

My PRP seats finally came in, so in they go!  I got the wide version (+2") and also had them bend the headrest forward (Kyota's reccomendation) so the seat will slide all the way to the back.  Mmmmmm, new car smell  :hahaha:

Wow that little bend in the headrest tubes looks like it made all the difference in the world, wish I woulda known that stock like mine you lose 2-3" more rearward mounting ability.I think after this trip I'm going to pull mine and remove the cover and do a little tweaking. Trucks looking awesome. looks like the 55 has a little toe out problem

That is awesome. Keep up the great work! I wish I knew a thing or two about dual cases eveyone keeps talking about. I might get some for mine if I knew what they were all about and how they worked. Anyway, Keep on trucking!

Finally making some more progress, Jesse at High Angle built a badass CV for the rear, and I am picking up my V6 3rd for the rear with detroit, 5.29's, and billet spacer.  Also started on the flatbed, will post up some pics soon

p.s. here is a pic of the 85 front axle I have been working on, gusseted the steering stops, welded Marlin armor, and shaved all extra brackets.  I'm waiting on my HP third so I can throw this badboy in  :disturbed:

If you want to shave a little more off of the axle try and cut the bottom u-bolt perch off of the pass. side of the axle.  That is a good rock anchor right there.  The drain plug can also be a rock anchor too.  It all looks very good though.
