thanks for the compliments.  I'm building some sliders tomorrow out of 188 wall 2x4 steel.  I will post up some pics if I finish'm tomorrow.  So far the trucks running great, and drives smooth down the freeway!  I can't believe it all worked out with no big problems!   Can't wait to finish the flat bed and get in on the con!

awhotrods

Here are a couple pics of my new sliders, .188 wall 2x4 steel with .250 2x2 legs, and plated frame.  I think they should do the trick!  :disturbed:

Nice work on the sliders, excellent welds on the frame! Im having a tuff time finding rocks that reach my sliders here in AK :(    The Rubicon is calling your truck!

Finally started on the flatbed with the help of my buddy Dillan from Smith Extreme Offroad in Auburn!  :disturbed:

That is an excellent design. Do you have any specs for it? I think I might imitate it (If you don't mind, of course?)! How hard was all that tube bending? Anyway, It is looking awesome. Keep the photographs coming!

Its a combination of 1 3/4" DOM and 1.5" DOM, I'll have more pics and specs on Friday.

Cool. I am probably going to go with the 1 3/4" stuff for mine. Any trouble bending?

Just finished some more tube work and painted it black!  :bling:

Another pic, I'm going to get some 4" round tail lights and put them in the corners of the fenders.  The lights don't fit very well in the 2x3 crossmember in the back.

flourman

Did you base the flatbed off All Pro's?  It sure looks like one.

Edit:  Just went back and read a previous post. :hammer:  :duh:
Doin' it FULLSIZE style!

bluerunner

so are you gonna paint the tube work black, keep us posted!  :smack:  hahah
Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious.

Rumack: I am serious, and don't call me Shirley.

awhotrods

Its already painted semi-gloss black in the last pics.  :screwy:

That is excellent. You sure do have the death welds on your sliders. Those things aren't going anywhere. Well, if you break those, you are probably doing something you aren't suppossed to be doing. Kudos on the flat-bed! I have decided not to fab a flat-bed because there is a guy selling one near me. I am having some difficulty in acquiring his number, but I'll keep your design in mind if I end up fabbing. Excellent work!

I am considering selling it for the right price as I am moving down to SO-CAL from SAC.  I won't have the ability to shoot up to the CON for the day and back home, and will be really busy with work.  I'm not in a bind to sell it, just considering it.
