is this the right placement for this bracket? when i bolted it to the block the hole don't go anywhere near the rest of the PS bracket holes i'm hoping to get this sorted out in the next couple hours (before it gets dark)

:hammer:  :hammer: i've already waisted 2 hours trying to jimmy it in to place  :smack:

cant tell for sure from the pic,  but bolt the mount with the 3 holes onto the head,  that piece is like a brace and i think it should be fliped over the  bolt holeyou have on top should be at the bottom then the 'Y' at the top

i'll doublecheck that for ya

yea  flip the bracket you are holding over  bold to theblock just above alt.   next to timing cover

the other ends  form a Y   and will bolt to the front and back of the p/s pump

you've got it upside down.  It goes to the bottom side of the PS bracket and down to the block.  The water outlet from the timing cover sits in the "y" of the bracket.  You could also throw it away...I see them missing all the time at work...

uhh i figured it out. it does bolt to the block and not to the timing cover the way i had it. anyone know what the extra  threaded hole below the coolant passage is for??

79coyotefrg

you mean the nut welded to the one ear of the bracket??
it bolts to the little tab that stick out below the pulley on the pump
