i looked into it a while ago for one of my trucks that has a 20r head on a 22r block. i figured the higher compresion would be ideal for the 110 octane propane. i decided not to do it though because i was told that the smog refs won't aprove it because there isn't a kit with a C.A.R.B. aproval.
i was first looking into toyota forklifts. trying to find a forklift wrecker or parts house that i could get everything from. i don't have the links anymore though. there are some companies out there that sell the stuff as a kit as well.
it was looking like the tank was going to be the main cost. after that you need steel braded lines, and evaporator and a propane carberator. and a fuel pump block-off plate.
one thing i also found out is that you need to plumb some heater hoses through the evaperator so that it won't freeze up.
it seemed like a good idea when i started looking into it but it seemed to be more trouble a cost than it was worth.(i was hoping to get the truck smog exempt)
