Interco is coming out with a 47" LTB!!!!

check it out
http://www.intercotire.com/html/ltb.htm

donkeykong

I didnt see anything reffering to a 47" tire...that would be huge if they did.  You would need to beef up everything to not snap stuff once that much rubber gets spinning.

17-47-16.5LT Coming Soon!
17-47-15LT Coming Soon!

KYOTA

theres an article about it in the new Petersens too.

backseatwheeler

i think its a typo i can see it being a 37 buit not a 47 after all the biggest those tires go at the moment are 34s would they go from a 34 to a 47? i dont think so i can see them coming from a 34 to a 37 though

alwayzbroken

I saw the 47" in a magazine also, no typo. That is a pretty big jump for the LTB to go from 34" to 47." Why the LTB? Why not a 47" TSL or Bogger? :headscratch:
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

KYOTA

unless Interco had a typo on the sidewall too :talkingn:

UNBREAKABLE

That's how I roll

Skinny_Pedal

what a waste. there so many other tires that they should have made different size tires for. why mess with the ltb. if anything make the ltb in a 37" or something around there. a 47" tires is for show, no need to run it

WHITE_TRASH

Hmm so it would piss you off if I ran a set of 47's then skinny?  Maybe ill skip the 44's afterall......  I would rather see a sx in 42" though.  Great tire but just not big enough. :dunno:
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

alwayzbroken

WT, why not skip the 40's and go straight to a 53" Michelin?

WHITE_TRASH

Too narrow.  I want width and a relatively un aggressive tread for the snow.  Granted the ltb has a pretty aggressive tread pattern compared to a 44" cepek but if they are cheap Ill give 'em a go.

I'm thinking wussies :stopit: ,,,get the 49's,,,you know you want them :slap:
Forgiveness is between them and god..
Its my job to arrange the meeting!

WHITE_TRASH

49's would be nice but Id have to lift my truck a shizzle load and the fact that they require 20" wheels and cost $500 EACH is kind of a deal killer.....

only way i would run 49's is on rockwells and in a buggy..I just can't see them under a wheeling toy..

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

I prefer 28"'s aired down to 5 psi for crawling! J/K, 47" is a lot of tire. Don't they also make a 49" IROK? Or am I mistaken.

WHITE_TRASH

Yup they make a 49" irok but its made for a 20" wheel.  I know a guy that is running them on a buggy.  Pretty damned sick!

I can hear your birf's commiting suicide right now. If you think a 38" SX is a heavy birf eating monster, then what do you think the 42's are gonna be? I can see your ring and pinions putting little guns to their pinion heads right now  :ack:

Those are nice but way too pricy.
You would be better off with a set of Q78 TSL Swamper tires.
BTW if you had a tire hot knife you could sipe the tread of any swamper TSL to look like those simplex tires.

At the current rate of exploding CroMo birfs (non existent)  I think Ill give it a try just to be the first one to blow one clean through the steering knuckle....
