Thanks for posting all that Mini! Mom will love it! We're going to have to wait till we get somewhere with wifi or we hook up to broadband with this wireless, we've been running at Glen speed for most of the trip. :turtle2:

We're on the road again, hit it about 5:40 this morning and heading to Calico to meet Rocksurfer for our final Cali wheeling weekend.

Still having some problem with the LBC. It seems to be getting air in the fuel line. The problem has basically been when we start it up and it just begins to idle. It dies and Marks got to open up some lines to let the air out.
It seems if we rev it for a little bit after starting it it's OK.

But another weird thing had happened last night. As we were leaving the restaurant I turned on the generator to run the roof AC's. It takes a minute for the AC to come on. We're sitting at a stop light when all the lights on the dash and the console AC go out. We didn't notice if the outside lights went out, but at the same time that the roof AC kicked on with the generator the lights and console AC came back on. :headscratch:

So of course now we're listening for every little sound

So a little while later as we are driving along, the radio was on and Mark says he hears a buzzing. I turn off the radio and get up to investigate. As I get closer to the back the buzzing is getting louder...it's in the bathroom... I thought it was coming from the exhaust fan so I turn that off, but no! It seems to be coming from under the cabinet :yikes: I lean over to listen and see Mark's electric shaver had fallen behind the toilet and turned itself on!!

:hammerhead:

We are now in Bakersfield, time to call RS.

Wish we could hook up with ya. Calico is cool wheeling and the gost town is not like disney at all more like brown acers  tourist trap all the way but in the middle of nowhere.

I finally got the video to download, Freakin COOL!  And you can hear that damn air horn in the background, too!  I would have found that guy's truck and jammed a tennis ball or something in that horn to keep it from blowing!

it's a little better but was still slow on the hills. I'm sure Mark will fill you in on it more later.

We're heading for Big Bear next, if we can keep the LBC running! Mark wants to find a Dodge dealer to get another fuel pump. We're following Rocksurfer and he pulled in a Denny's parking lot next to a Kragens to ask them if they knew were a Dodge dealer was and the LBC stalled again. Mark got it restarted easy enough but it is sucking air from somewhere.

Seems there is a Dodge dealer up the road here. We're in some small town, not sure where.

OK we found the Dodge dealer. Lets hope they have the part :crossed:

We are now at an auto parts dealer. I think we're in Barstow, or right in that area. Mark bought an electric pump and is changing it out. At least I have 4 bars of broadband access here :hyper:

OK enough of our tales of woe. On to the good stuff.

We met up with Rocksurfer on Mule Canyon Rd. yesterday proably about noonish. Crawled the RV's up to an area where they always camp and hit the trails, again.
What a weird area of rock formations and colors that is!!

That is what I wanted to see, The Mammoth giving the gatekeeper on bismark canyon a go. It took me a year to finaly get through that thing unassisted. So did he make it and then turn around and come back through? here are a couple of  us going through it in the wifes jeep.

You know Mark, after missing an opportunity to do Little Sluice he was just chomping at the bit to do something extreme!
We were there a good hour and a half to two hours trying to extract him. I got most of it on video.

First we got RS in front of us, he tried winching it forward attached to him but only managed to pull RS's truck toward him, so he hooked to a big boulder. The winch stalled, he tried getting a high lift under the front and getting rocks under the left front tire, to no avail. He wasn't going forward and he was pretty well wedged to try to go backward, the worst part being the windshield frame against the rocks but he had no choice.

We got another high lift on the back of it and got it jacked away from the boulder that was pinning him in, that got the windshield frame off the rock a tad and he was finally able to scrap it loose.

But not without some souveniers
