Some CRC 6-56 marine spray for distributor cap/plug wires if it they get  wet. Tire plugs, spare valve stems, and for air I use a 20 oz CO2 tank from a paintball gun. The thing that's gotten the most use is my cell phone or a CB so the rest of the group can find me if thier not around.

whenever i go out on recovery  i usually have  about 80 feet of  large chain.  around 150 feet of straps.  my winch plus extra cable. a couple snatch blocks varrious  hooks and d rings   a few shovels   an axe  plus a pick axe . depending on the terrian  i'll carry a set of  custom made  ramps..  hmm...  cant think of much else   besides  the other normal things  like blankets and food and water and whatnot.

i will never use a tor strap again i learned my lesson the hard way but i guess thats what i get for buying a ford

Ive never had much a problem with straps . mainly because  i never  use one under 4"  wide and rated for any less that about 30,000 lbs  even when pulling out toyotas.  its not fun when  they break and stuff goes flying.  especially when chains break !  i dont like to use chains to much but they make for good anchoring.

I was kind of wondering if anyone carried tire irons, a pull pal or stuff like that...but, I can't really see a need for a pull pal in AZ! I guess I need to lay in a supply of straps!

A couple of shovels, two tow straps, a couple of D-rings.  I need to add a high lift to that one of these days.

I dont like them either but I carry it any way.  i have used it twice, you just have to be carfull. 
I honestly dont carry that much, just have to have a good suppliment of Mountain Dew.   
I just learn to improvise when i am on the trail.

First Aid kit, water, oil, powersteering fluid, brake fluid, high lift, tools, gas, tow strap, spare axles, spare tire, misc. nuts/ bolts/ washers, u/joints, anything you can think of you should bring.  always bring what you don't need so you have it when you do need it.

Trailer to bring all the stuff you think you may need, don't forget the kitchen sink, you may need to wash your hands.

Just think of what could go wrong and bring what you would need to make temporary repairs. Then the basics that have been listed already.
