Idea that's come to our world, factory electric retrofits! Ford has a prototype e-retro for the 1978 F-100. Fantastic option to scrapping our beloved classics and still going electric. From what I've heard of it you get all the things needed to do the retrofit with the exception of the batteries. Be a great idea for other manufacturers to follow.
I'd do that for a short range vehicle, but it still wouldn' do for my typical commute, which can be as much as 250 miles a day round trip. Petrol is still king!
Wonder how that would go here in Cali? Would the mod be acceptable or would the Nazis here refuse any retro kitted vehicles and force the purchase of a new electric vehicle. E-ither way, I'd still keep a petrol powered car for when the electric grid melts.
