:hammerhead: Been searching google and forums for the answer and I'm getting conflicting info. Toyota dealer says 54 but I'm also hearing 65 from various people. Can someone let me know what torque setting they use pls. TIA .
Someday I'll have an 85 Yota pickup like Marty Mcfly but in Crawler mode !!!

I never torque drive line bolts either. I just go as tight as I can  with a pair of wrenches. Never had em loosen up.

FSM says 54 ft Lbs. I'll stick with guten tight, It's been the preferred method by those in the industry for years

I don't agree with some of the torque specs in the FSM.

For me, some are too tight and some are too loose.

56 lbs on those bolts is plenty tight!! :smack:

I've never had drive shaft bolts come loose.

Maybe a little Loctite if you are worried about vibration loosening them after they are tightened?  If i'm not mistaken red is stronger than blue.  I'd opt for blue.
My driveline bolts have never backed out on 3 trucks...no Loctite...
