Hi guys,

I've browsed around for a while and since encouraged, here's my intro post.

Who are ya, where ya from: Paul,  East Bay Area CA for now.
Model: 2002 Tacoma Xtra cab
Engine: 3.4L (factory TRD supercharger)
Transmission: Manuel!
T-case: present...
2nd T-case: tacobox sitting in my shed for 6 years  :headshake:  guess why I'm digging thru the forums right now ;)
Axles: IFS, stock no e-locker rear.  ARB's soon
Tires: Goodyear 35"s

Etc: No false pretenses here - I'm a total ignoranus.  I've done all the work on my truck in the past, but with the guidance of a buddy that knew wth he was doing.
The extent of that work has been: Front coil overs and control arms, springs, & 1.5" body lift.   Rock sliders - I bought some curved tubing and built the rest.  Minor things I can't think of right now.  Besides these things, I'm pretty much oil changes & spark plugs experience level with a fair bit of light fabrication.

To my shame, the truck has been sitting for a couple years since I broke a ring gear.

With a similar arrangement as before, a couple buddies will council and assist where needed on what's next and loooong overdue :

5.29 gears - on hand
ARB Air lockers - in route
Skid plates - Front couple now, rest soon.
Marlin crawler - I bought used probably 6 years ago, still attached to a bonus transfer case.  Time to get this puppy in!   Just now, I am trying to figure out what I need to order in prep for this install.
I know longer & shorter driveshafts, but that's about it.  I'd be delighted if someone were to help me figure out whatever else I will definitely need, will probably need & should really just do while it's all apart now rather than later.

I am not mechanically inept, but inexperienced.  So I do really need an ally on my wrenching endeavors.
I know electric AC/DC principles very well,  household electric stuff well enough - but not electric code (I'm an electric utility worker, not an electrician - I know the how & why. I can troubleshoot & analyze catastrophic failures... but I don't memorize procedures well  :D).  I'm happy to share knowledge and help in whatever ways I can for the stuff I do know, so just ask.

That's enough for now.
Thanks for reading and for having me here guys!

I basically want to increase the places it can go to a reasonable maximum.  It will be an adventure only vehicle, but I do not plan to ever trailer it anywhere, so it'll have to creep it's way there on it's own.
Overlanding/adventure I guess?
