85 Pick up Hub stud torque specs needs
« on: Feb 27, 2018, 12:54:24 PM »
Hello

Newbie here getting to end of my first front axle rebuild.

I'm getting ready to install new studs to mount the Aisin locking hubs. I don't have a FSM and can't find these specs. Some say finger tight, a youtube by low range says to double nut and use an impact until they stop ? does anyone know the factory specs ?

Thank you for the help

Do not use the low range method. I don't know what the actually values are but what I'd do is double but then and go until they stop by hand then a little more.

You might try looking for a downloadable FSM.  I have one for the '83.
