85 4runner w56 work in a 87 yota? Both 4x4

So I have a 87 pickup with a w56 that has a crap click/clunk sound when in reverse so thinking about picking up a used one and a guy has one for sale out of a 85 runner, just wanting to know if it would work in my truck or what I need to make it work?

yeah should be the same.
