diamond axle question
« on: Aug 08, 2016, 11:47:58 AM »
Did some research, unsuccessful.

DON'T BASH

Plan on running a diamond axle (toyota center/toyota outer) but don't know if 15 wheels will clear and don't want to switch to 17.

Any input from diamond owners will help.

if you run mini truck calipers then yes, 15'' will fit

any if you can find them, run 86 fj60 rotors and v-6 IFS calipers, you may have to grind the calipers a little bit but will make a big difference in stopping power.
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

This is a very blanket answer and is not always true. It very much depends on which mini truck calipers and which wheel you are running. The larger IFS calipers don't fit on all but a few 15" wheels.

True, I had to do some grinding for mine to fit my 15" wheels.

I am running a RuffStuff front housing with 15" Ultra 50 wheels with no grinding. But I am also running the FROR brackets with 02 Tacoma brakes and rotors. Tried to run 97 runner brakes and rotors but they were way to big for the wheels.
