91' Toyota standard cab....built
« on: Jul 04, 2016, 06:24:13 PM »
I am posting an ad for my friend. It is a 91' single cab pickup 22RE. It has a lot of work done to it. I think mileage is around 120k. Ill check and get back. So I checked mileage and it says 170 on cluster, but engine had 120 when installed. Also it is a 91' not a 93' sorry for confusion. Here is a list of what I can think of done to it.
- 22RE 4cyl
- 5 speed trans
- Dual cases with 4.7 rear. Twin sticks. AA adapter. Completely modified trans tunnel true flat belly with custom built skid plate from front to back. Really nice fab work. Frame height is 23" low center gravity.
- SAS Front axle is out of an 82' pickup, Cut and rotated knuckles, 5.29 R&P Open diff. RUF pack with 12" bilsteins, Marlin shock hoops. steel braded lines.
- Rear is same year axle,5.29 R&P and Detroit quick lock/ratcheting style locker internal of the carrier. All-pro rears modified pack. 12" bilsteins.
- Bobbed and dovetailed bed, looks immaculate must see in person to appreciate the work. Roto-pax mounted against bed front. Ice chest bracket and spare tire roof mounted.
- Custom front and rear bumpers 1.75 DOM rear bumper is tied into the frame with fender tubes.
- Custom built internal cage 1.75 DOM. Both seat brackets are built into the cage.
- Custom sliders 1.75 DOM
- Corbeau suspension seats driver and passenger.
- Nice custom center console.
- Herculiner inside and also bed done.
- 35x12.50x15 BFG KM2. Basically brand new. On black steel wheels.
- Smittybilt 8k winch.
Asking price is 9k. Must see really clean work done to truck. Located in Coalinga CA. For more info call or text (559)352-5038. Here are some pics.

If anyone has questions I can also answer anything. The axles under it were from my 82. I rotated the front axle. The diffs were done by MC  :turtle:! My number is (559)679-1898. Or PM me. Thanks

Clean looking crawler.

You might want to clarify what a "Detroit quick lock LS" as I can't figure it out with Google.  The only Detroit Limited Slip that I know of is the Trueurac.  Quick-Lock sounds familiar, but I can't find anything...

What is it?
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Genuine Gear Quik Lok Designed by the makers of the Detroit Locker, the Genuine Gear Quik Lok offers an easy installation, a lifetime warranty, and a low price. Said to be the best standard-duty ratcheting locker offered, the Quik Lok is available for most applications, including the Dana 30, Dana 35, and Dana 44, as well as the Ford 9-inch. For more information, contact: Genuine Gear, (800) 421-1050, www.4wheelparts.com.

Ok.  It's just a rebranded Detroit EZ locker that is essentially the same type of locker as the Lock-Right and Aussie.  I would update the original post to specify that it's a locker and not a LS.

Yes it is a ratcheting type locker. When I got it through marlin back in like 04 or 05 he referred to it as a limited slip so that's what stuck with me. Sorry for confusion.

And to be real specific, my true track hooks up better than that ez locker did. So it's basically a LS lol. But it worked for me when I was an youngster.

That's a proven locker design so I wonder why the Truetrac could best it. I had a Truetrac in my 85 before the Aussie and there was no comparison.

My point with bringing this up is that a locker is a better selling point that a limited-slip for most buyers.  That's all.
