10 bucks an hour is alot better than 4.25, that is where I stzrted back in the day.  And I know there are plenty of guys here that started a hole lot lower than that.

Looks like chevy's rear, but what up front?

rear is 63 chevy's with a double shackle setup stock toy to 2.5 yj front shackle

fronts are pro comp 2.5 Yj 51323's with a con fer front toy shackle

if youre thinking about running yj's up front i would recomend Rubicon Express Yj   RE1444's they are a reverse wraped military styile spring and are far better if you ask me... they run around $150 each
i cant remember!!!!!

yeah, dieseltoy, you need to post up on how you did that swap. We want details, yummy, yummy details.

K here goes..
Last may I took a srtraight original paint 85 runner and added parts I had been collecting for the previous year.
As it sits, it took me a little over 6 mos in the garage.
The motor is from a Japanese Land Cruzer, that was obtained from a local shop that imported it several years ago and never used (w/22K orig miles;-) Motor mounts matched the 22R block, but had to go with a Perma-Cool E-fan for clearance. V6 rad and perma-cool's larger 21" oil cooler for cooling.
I built the 3" mandrel exhaust, in order to get rid of the restrictive cast elbow on the Toy turbo (even though the second gen diesel CT20 is totally different than the gas or early US diesel CT20's).
No muffler, the turbo quiets it down pretty good, except for the "whistle". (You could swear you heard a Kenworth pull in the driveway.)
The turbo trans/t-fer from a local yard, (got a spare of each just in case) and 23 spline MC 4.7 gears for the tcase.
I ordered a heavier 3L diesel flywheel, Daikin extreme clutch, diesel "R series" bellhousing, 4WD oil pan, alt, reg, manifolds, PS pump, etc.etc from an Austrailian wrecking yard. The clucth is new, obviously, but I ordered it from them since they know the flywheel/motor. Turns out to be a Tundra clutch pattern.)
87 rear housing, a pair of new Elockers from the dealer w/4.56 gears. Top speed on the hwy is about 70, so gearing is perfect. (Power band is all low RPM)
A few tunnel mods, to make room for the carb style shifters.(Those Turbo shifters are hard to find. Thanks Marlin for your help with this, you probably don't remember)
Hysteer required tossing the 4x4 oil pan and welding a 2WD oil pan and 22RE pan together. Even then the oil pan was still too deep, and had to go to OTT low profile 1.5" steering arms.
Misc includes Teflon fuel lines (for 100% biodiesel-methanol eats rubber) and some standard stuff. Ford shock towers, OME frt springs (1.5" forward axle perch holes), Mazda/toy hybrid rears, longfields, 12" Bilsteins, FROR frt bump, tcase xmember, 95 seats, auto meter cluster, yada yada...
This spring I want to add a soft top like the canback, (gonna try to build my own like the one on wildyoats.com)
40 gal rear tank (chop the tire carrier), HD rear bumper and some nerfs (gotta make some attempt to preserve this straight sheetmetal)
You can see the progress at http://clean4x4.com
Some of the links still dont work..(our IT manager, and web development team are off on a world cruise with top supermodels, and I'm not sure when they will be back. Until then it's just me and a small dog, but we are doing the best we can.
