rear axle up front?
« on: Feb 16, 2005, 12:25:51 PM »
:headscratch: Would a newer 90's toyota rear axle with the electric locker work as a front?  As long as the pinion was kept low it would work right?

The rear axle wouldnt work. (how would you turn)  But the rear 3rd member will fit with just a bit of grinding to the housing.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

But you would be astoundingly good at going straight...maybe even a world champion!
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
