95 runner SAS transfer case question
« on: Oct 07, 2011, 09:09:31 PM »
Hello,  is there something that has to be done when changing out the IFS from the 95 to SAS off a 82 toy in regards to the transfer case and locking hubs?  The 95 does not have locking hubs but the 82 obviously does.   So if I use this axle do I need to do anything special to the t-case?  Or is it business as usual once all the welding is done.  Just put it into neutral lock the hubs and start climbing or is there something I'm missing.

lock the hubs before you put it in 4wd, 4wd high is for standard stuff, 4wd low is for crawling, neutral you wont go anywhere

HAHA.

Thanks everyone, But looks like I won't have to do the Swap myself as I just found an 87 with it already done.  The rig is in pretty good shape inside and out!
