Can an hd and stock t case mounts be used together?
« on: Oct 03, 2010, 09:21:23 AM »
I have a budbuilt crossmember and need to replace one and would like to use a stock one if it will work with my Marlin hd one. I just need to know if they are the same height.
Thanks.

Isn't the marlin mount meant as a bolt in replacement for a stocker?

Yes. But I don't know if it is the same height as the HD unit. The reason I ask is because I found them for a really good price and would like to use one with my the HD one I already have. They would need to be identical height to work.

I've known some people who have ran both without any issues.  Just need to mount the factory one first and loosely.  Then HD, and tighten up.  Cause the HD has slotted holes and the factory ones don't.
