Here is a full penitration weld on 3/8s plate. Vertical up, .030 solid wire and co2 gas. It was done with a 110v welder. No cracks or breaks.
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

Here I lightened it up some, you can see the weld in the center that has been stretched.

Dude the renforcment is ground off for the bend test. In the very center do you see the section of a different color? THats a face bend. And I welded it out all at once, welder never shut of from duty cycle. 12 passes I think.

86 I did a 7018 vertical up,bent the face one way, flattened it out and bend it the other way once. DIdnt break or crack!

Ya when you use .030 wire it takes awhile. Hell I did a weld test with 1/8 wire on one inch plate that was 19 passes using a  sumerged arc welder.
