Is this welder any good for project building?

Yeah, but that is pipe welding, with a beveled or grooved joint with multiple passes.

If he just wants to run some beads on his truck frame, that 6010 (if he had a d/c welder) would not be the best choice for what he is doing.  My  :twocents:

True true, just saying 6010 is good to keep around if ya gotta fill a hole and need to whip and pause it. Hell its good to keep all those rods around. why limit yourself
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

Gotcha, yep, I agree for sure.  (although I don't think 6010 will work with his A/C welder-I never have been successful welding a DC rod on AC ;)
You probably mean 6011 I bet (they are both so similar 6010 vs 6011)

I kinda forgot it was a AC only welder, opps haha
