Freedom Of "Speech" gone too far?

I'm split decision, I see the point he is making and agree.
The world is that twisted and the public is always quick to doctor it up and make it rainbows and unicorns.

But it can be pretty offensive.
although i love how this makes news and yet they still won't show exactly whats going on... on the battlefield over-seas.

Anyways most of you California's have seen this on the news im sure.

The problem is, you give a inch someone will take a mile. I can bet you this, if there is something passed to make him take down his scene, like a statement saying no one can have any kind of display. Then those same neighbers will complain they cant put one up in their yards. Its more of a opinion thing. All protestors and anyone who tries to force their opinion down your throat, do not want to hear your opinion.

Yup so someone should tell them to man up and ignore it. Its like a dog, it will come up and paw you dump you etc when it wants attention. And if you give it attention it will always do what it does to get it. Now if you ignore it, then it will stop. So maybe those parents should be parents and talk to their kids and explain a few things. But they dont want to be parents, accept responsiblity, they want the government and media to raise their kids, or tell them what to do.

I think its hilarious. Seems there is more uproar over this display, than the apartment complex that banned flying the American flag...

I've made it my life's work to offend people...if the truth as I see it offends.

The key to free speech is to defend those you disagree with most.

Well said. Not always easy to do though.

I support this, however not entirely because Jesus doesn't need a gun. Likewise, the fact its near a school bus stop only troubles me because of the gun.

I am not too offended by this because from a Christian standpoint, Christmas is a joke, it's about as Christian as the Olympics.

If you want to learn more about that, I've uploaded a small video to YouTube regarding the origin of Christmas. To preserve the direction of this topic, I'm only posting the link:

Doing the right thing is, more often than not, hard. Maybe that's not the right word...maybe I should say doing the right thing is often not the most expedient option.

BigMike

I didn't watch the video , yet...I wanted to say this first. This is the first time, since my preteen years that I am "celebrating" Christmas. I just don't believe this is when Christ was born and I believe that this date was co-opted by the Church to assuage new converts. However, listening to Dennis Prager, I was/have become convinced there is nothing wrong with having a holiday when the sole purpose is to exchange gifts with those you love. I have, in opposition to my personal beliefs, always hoped that those who believe in this as Christ's day of birth find in it what they hope for.
