brake line adapters?
« on: Sep 12, 2009, 06:10:51 PM »
I'm going to be running chevy axles under my runner, I'm looking for a place to get adapters to go from my yota line to the chevy stuff.  **I've been searching for a couple hours and need a little assistance.

any help would be great

I honestly didnt think about that. I have never done it, is the right tool costly? or can it be rented from the parts store?

thanks

Not sure about renting. I got the tooling from Harbor Freight. I can't remember how much though.

one like this should be under 20 at home depot, or under 10 harbor freight

I bought some lines all made up with the toyota on one end and the chevy Banjo on the other for my front from Foothill Offroad..  I needed longer lines anyways so it was perfect..  No fuss..  just bolt on and go..

I cut and reflared all my lines.  Now I am running 3 AN lines for everything.  The adapters are a bit spendy but the lines are very cheap so it makes the price between prefabbed lines and custom right about the same.  The sweet thing is if I rip a line out of a fitting I have reusable fittings to fix it with if need be and carry extra lines beings they are ridiculously cheap.
