ford
« on: Jul 25, 2009, 09:08:59 PM »
Am having problems trying to get info on ford 390 big blocks and where to get a gasket kit or rebuild kits for it.
Also I want to make my 76 f-250 into a rockcrawler but cannot find any vendors to help, its all f-100 stuff so far i've seen from vendors, anyone got links to good vendors that I will help me make it capable?

Also looking for hydro assist or full crossover or full hydro kits out there for this truck, it has the power slave cylinder on it, any suggestions?
Also having problems determining what the front axle this is, its 8 lug, low pinon, open knuckle, I looked on here and it might be a 60' while other people said this is a 44' which one? lol. I tried to clean it but cant seem to see any stamp on it.

99% sure it's a 44.  Napa should have all the gaskets you want I bet.  As for everything else, make it

am sure i will have to link the suspesion front and rear unless i could find a company that makes flexy springs for these trucks which i doubt.
if it is a 44 i will have to change it out, maybe dynatrac 70 or ?

For leaf springs i would just measure eye to center pin from both ends and find something that is around the same best would be something a little shorter on one side and put that towards the front mocing the axle further forwards then just mix them i think you could make something work for fairly cheap
