cleaning my fuel system
« on: Mar 17, 2009, 04:14:00 AM »
I have had a whirwind of problems out of my EFI as of late. The truck is running now but the fuel filter needs to be replaced again.....didn't blow out lines last time. It idles fine and if it has been sitting for a day or so you can give it a little hell before it starts to sputter...end result beign that anything over idle doesn't get fuel. I'm guessing that the increased pressure makes the trashin the line completly block the path that the fuel needs to travel. I want this to be the last fuel filter I have to out on it for a while. What should I do to completly flush the lines? Should I pull out my injectors and soak them in some type of cleaner (racing gas or fuel injector cleaner)? The inside of my fuel cell apprears to be clean. Should I put an additional fuel filter in line to prevent havning to the PITA EFI toyota filters?
Thanks, Jeff
