tire size chart??

I was just wondering if anyone new of a chart to convert one type of messuring to the other (tire size)
or can anyone explain the math to me?
for instance I have a set that is 315/75R16LT  what size in inches is that?

for instance I have a set that is 315/75R16LT  what size in inches is that?
315mm tire width - 75% aspect ratio (percentage of the width of the tire that describes the height of the side wall) - 16 inch wheel


so  315 mm \ 25.4 to get the inches  is 12.4 inches x.75 = 9.3 inches

so 9.3 sidewall height + 16 inches (wheel diameter) + 9.3 (cant forget the tire height on the other side of the wheel)
so 9.3 + 16 + 9.3 = 34.6

so 315/75/16  =  34.6/12.4/16  or rounded off to 35/12.50/16
