  I just ordered 41" Iroks.  I hope my Toy axles will be able to handle them.  My front is a 85 with Bobby Longfields 30 S, trussed, FROR knuckle ball gussets,  ARP studs.  The rear is an IFS with trusses, ARP studs, FROR FF kit, Both have V6 thirds w/4:88's F/ARB  R/spool  and I plan on have all the hubs heat treated and frozen.   So who runs what and what do you reccomend?  Thanks  Jim

Use your brain to control the skinny pedal and you should be ok, but I think you are pushing the limits of Toyota running gear in the context of reliability.

I am running 4.88 R&P with monsterous 33 inch tires which makes me the expert on large tires!  :rofl2:

should be fine, if you fo break anything, then you need a bigger axle to handle it.... the toyota stuff is stout, and as you are planmning will be as strong as possible, but its no rockwell ;)

I will be running D60/14Bolt combo with my 40's... so I can't relate to Toyota running gear. Tell us all how it works out for you!

well i run my 37's on my toy stuff and I was breaking lots of birfs (not to mention pro fields)  Just stepped and and got the 30 spliners and then broke a r/p 2 days later.  I think it was because the r/p were old and so i put an new set up front and haven't had a problem yet.  I think you'll be fine with all of that you put in the axles.  bobby told locktup on here that he'd be fine with 42 iroks and I dont' imagine taht you'll ahve any problem either.  The only thing that might be a possible problem is your hubs.  Even though you've put the ARP stud kit in I'd find someone who can put another 4 dowls in each hub.

======

i have smacked my 33's around pretty hard, and my front IFS knows it,   but my rear is doin just fine, i'm no expert but 'd say as long as you dont go flooring your blown 454 through those big o'l rockgardens you should be fine, if not and something breaks  :rockingout:, then i guess its time to upgrade

'99 SR5/TRD Tacoma w/5vzfe. SAS'd with 64" diamond axle (w/ long superset & ARB). about 5" of lift, 305/75 x16 BFG KM1's. Soon to come: 1.5" more lift (6.5"), 35 to 37" tire, undecided at this point., 63" F/F diamond rear, Marlin 4.7 tacobox.

   I just found out Bobby Long has 4340 Chromoly hub gears at $140 a pair.  I was going to have mine heatreated and frozen till now.  Bobby says 39's are max he recommends for his axles, but he knows of guys running 42's with no issues.  I guess I will see...LOL

they dont have the 41s in bias but should have gone with 42 or the 39.5s. aslo i would like to add. gusset the piss out of your front housing, the outter balls. already mentioned the above truss.. that much of tire can bend your tin diff and could screw up your $1300 shafts.

   I have the FROR knuckle ball gussets, however I am considering a custom Diamond housing.
