a detroit breaking when u break an axle is pretty common. the shockload from the axle breaking usually does the trick

i just bought the kit from GotPropane.com, you should contact Cary, the owner, he is very helpful with any questions you might have. As for power loss i did not notice much but maybe a little at highway speeds. I am no mechanic though so i might not of had it tuned right. For offroad driving i would highly suggest it
when i broke a stock front inner it took out my detriot. there are these gear type things inside of them and it took all the teeth off both sides. i tossed another shaft in it but sometimes neither tire would spin. i'll never run a detriot again.
ya just needing the cash for the 30 splines, kicking my self now for not getting those right off the bat. that said the spot that i broke, i feel even the 30 would have snapped, it was bound up bad
nah, you would have broken a hub or ring and pinion.
the only spot on the the only spot that the 30 spline long axle that is the same size anyplace is the splines in the diff,, they are beef.. I have never been able to think why the after market axles are so knecked down in diameter.. I had a set of 27 spline poly axle and they were tiny in diameter.. even smaller than stock.. Granted they were 4340 but still small
