Mil. wrap?
« on: May 05, 2008, 05:50:10 AM »
I'm thinking about running a set of 2wd toyota rear springs in the front of my 4runner. However the springs dont have any mil wrap like the 4wd ones that are commonly used.  Opinions?

they arent strong enough how?

i will be using a 2wd rear pack for my rears up front, but it will have otehr leaves added in from a 4x4 front pack and possibly a short add a leaf

ding ding ding  we have a weiner

i would rather be a weiner than the alternative... they bleed for a week and dont die, like 12 times a year!

yeah, the 2wd pack has 2 leafs in it.... although i have seen some with like 5 leaves.... so :dunno: my 2wd rear pack had 2 leaves and an overload

the 2wds also dont have a military wrap, but they do have the anti-wrap where the the second leaf wraps halfway up the main on one side

I have a set of 2wd truck springs that I am adding a few leaves to.  I am using 2wd drive ones because thats the only kind of 51" rears I could find cheap.  I just wanna know if I'm setting myself up for an epic fail by using them.

Does anyone know if the 2wd v.s. 4wd 51" springs will change axles location or anything?  I havent set up my High steer or shock hoops yet and I figure if there is no difference I'll run this til they break or I stumble onto a 4wd set.

Dirtoy, how do I make mil wrap?
