Topic: Went shooting today.

Today I went shooting with three friends.  I don't own any guns, but there was no shortage with 13 weapons in the 4Runner.  We started with shotguns and some clay pigeons, then we pulled out the AR-15 for a few rounds.  After that we had a shooting competition with pistols.  I had a basic 22, the others were a 9mm, a Desert Eagle and a 22 revolver.  The last thing we did was shoot a 30-06.

Being a noobie, I have only shot guns a couple of times in the past, I was excited to hit my first shot at a clay pigeon, it was downhill from there.  I only took a few shots with the AR-15, but it was a great gun.  I stayed with the 22 pistol and only took a couple shots with the 9mm, everyone was having trouble hitting the targets with the pistols.  They saved me one shot with the 30-06 and laughed when I didn't get quite a good enough stance and ended up taking a couple of steps back.  I did hit the target in any case.

Shooting isn't really my favorite way to spend my time, but it's pretty fun on occasion.

 Yeah, going to the range now and then is super fun. Unfortunately the price of ammo has spiked and  i can only afford to shoot my 22.

I love shooting, but I don't get out nearly as much as I'd like to.

Glad you had fun!  I constantly have the same transaction with friends who also own guns.  "We should go shooting"  "Yea, that'd be fun!".  Never happens though.

Firesarms are great, glad you had the opportunity to learn and have fun with them. They will be a necessary tool someday

So True, lol. Guns are awesome. I myself prefer a 7mm, but I like -06's too. For a pistol, 9mm or 44 all the way, and to just shoot and not care bout bullets, a .22. Keep shootin!!!
