Just remember that no matter how strong the gear set is, 95% of it will only come from the gear set being properly set up. The proper pattern WILL make or break a ring and pinion.

Therefore get your gears setup as best as possible yourself or go through a highly reputable mechanic/business.

ps. I voted for Yukon because I've been running them since 2004 and have had no problems

From what i have been told by people in the biz is that US Gear make gears for a lot of the "big name" company's. "The funny thing is that the gear in the Yukon box may very well end up being a Motive. (ZUK)"

You do understand that doesn't mean anything since Yukon is not always Yukon.

I think that the quality of the install and the skill of the installer is more important than the gear mfr.

A buddy of mine got 175k on a 4.88 precision with a detroit running anywhere between 33-35" tires before breaking a pinion gear tooth and I think it only broke cus he was jumping the truck.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

X3 Its all in the install. Buy some gear and send them to Zuk with the third and you will be set  :burnout:

Just recieved my new R&P for the front of my 4runner.  Came in a Precision Box and they look like Motive markings.  I'm satisfied with that.

Just for some info on Richmond's, I just talked to a Richmond rep last weekend about this same thing and he told me that the only gears made in the USA are US gear and Richmond,  He also said that there are only a few gear manufacturers that make gears and stamp different names on them IE, Yukon precision etc.  I know this has already been said I just wanted to give you the info I was told by a Richmond rep who really seemed to know a lot about this stuff.
