How much body Lift on 3rd Gen 4Rnr to Duals @ 20 Degress
« on: Sep 24, 2008, 12:27:18 PM »
Just wondering whether 1.5 inch body lift on a 3rd gen 4runner would be enough to do the total 20 degree rotation with Duals?

Thanks

Henry

P.S. hello everybody--new to the board

maybe; but id be ready to use a hammer, and or cut and weld. I stuffed mine up under my taco with no BL and clocked it 25* I wound up splitting the body seam from pounding with a hammer, I didnt want to have to weld a hole in the floor but had to in the end anyhow. Its all under the driver seat:)

Good luck.

FYI incase your wondering how I got 25* im running a Inchworm tranny adapter 15* and a MC09 t-case adapter 10*.

So Jam with no BL you went 25*.  How much did you have to cut out of the floor?  Trying to get away from the floor cutting.  I would think that 20* and 1.5" should do it then if you didnt need to cut too much.  I guess i could detach the T-case and rotate it the 20* to see if it fits.....or get the adapter from inchworm and just go 15*.......But i would rather stick with parts supplier--Marlin...

I really dont know what to say. I had a hole from pounding about 3"x1.5" where the body seam in the floor split. I went with the Inchworm/Marlin hybrid becuase I got a good deal on a MC09 adapter. and wanted more clocking then the full Marlin would offer. (before there new adapter) but I have a 4cly and MCI was out of stock too. And still are out of stock 10 months and counting! Also I feel that Inchworm's Tranny adapter seals much better then Marlins Search over on TTORA, you will see.

With that combo I had the ability to clock 0,10,15,25*
