4 LINK
« on: Apr 28, 2004, 11:57:31 AM »
I would like to put a 4 LINK type suspension under my 4 Runner and would like any ideas, pics and suggestions on how to  concur the fuel tank problem. I really don't want to put it in the back of my runner, that is used for camping gear, SO any help would be appriciated

I've been Toying  with cutting out the Extra Cab flooring to make room to hang a custom tank. Basically squaring off behind the seats so the shelf or bench would be the top of the tank. Its a big job though :-\

I've solved the  problem I have a vat hung from above and behind and my air conditioneer blows into a chamber surrounding the vat before blowing into the cab. I have a mouth piece with a rubber hose in it running up to the vat (Which also protects my teeth from the landings after getting Sick Air off a rock face)

:beerchug: The fuel tank is definitely a quandry, especially if n ye wanna keep er as a DD ta boot. One of our members built is own where the spare tire used to hang. He built it as a wide low profile tank with its bottom traveling downwards in a V to the pump held in a gallon sizefuel trap. I think it holds 65 litres.

Shaffers kit does not require you to move your gas tank
