Just need to know which material would be better to use
87 runner, 4" trailmaster lift, 33" TSL/SX, 5.29's V6 e-locker, 22re that cost too much

Yeah i have decided to use 2" pipe with a .5" wall tubing. i just don't know which material would be stronger. I am going to be running 3/4" heims all around.

Steel is good cause its strong and if you bend it you can hammer it down aluminum i think is stronger but if you break it its bye bye

i think steel is more logical.  it's cheaper, generally more durable in this kind of situation, and easier to work with.  don't think you're gonna be saving a critical amount of weight by using aluminum, just my :twocents:

 Mike, The aluminum I use for lower links is 7075 series. It has better memory than steel. meaning it can be bent farther than steel and return back to the same shape  (straight). With steel prices like they are now I doubt the steel would be much cheaper than aluminum. You can use .250 wall steel for the upper links. But use the beef on the lowers. Aluminum is easier to work with,the 7075 machines like nothing else and is quite hard. all you do is drill and tap the ends for your hiems and your done with them.  Use what fits your wallet, but dont skimp.

well actually its kinda your aviater :bowdown: and thanks for the info and i was worried about the steel bending so that why i asked.

I have decided to get 2" solid 7075 series aluminum for 163.00 bucks shipped. :thumbs:
