Shifters with a crawler??
« on: Aug 01, 2007, 08:12:34 AM »
Getting geared up to put together a MC09 crawler setup in my Tacoma.  What modifications are being done to the shifters.  From the pictures I am seeing, it looks like people are going witha short throw shifter and some other modifications.  Is this all necessary.  I have a body lift on my truck and bench seat with no center consule to get in the way.

So what I guess I am asking is can I just assemble the crawler setup, bolt it up and run the stock crawl box and Tacoma t-case shifters, bent if need be, or cut a larger hole??

Did you add a short throw shifter or a different shift base to the crawl box or t-case?  I see something like that in the writeup on the main site with the 4 runner.  Did you have to dogleg any of the shifters??

I cut my shifters and offset them so they cleared each other. Standard throw, kept the existing shifter bases.
