detent spring installation
« on: Sep 29, 2006, 08:52:41 AM »
From the sound of it this is an easy one but I've never done it so I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction.  My toybox has been popping out of low so I have ordered the Heavy Duty spring to help eliminate the problem.  How do I go about replacing the spring?

Thanks

theres a 6mm allen head plug  at the top of the crawl box , remove that plug,  :psss:  its a pain to get to,  then use a magnet to remove the spring, then install the new spring and reinstall the plug

then  go wheel that puppy  :driving:

it's just below and behind the shifter base on the drivers side, IIRC. :headscratch:
