anyone know the thread pitch on toyota wheel studs?

one of the wheel studs on my 85 axle is chewed up and i need to pick up a die to clean it up so i can get the lug nut on. Anyone know the size i need? looks like a 16mm but i don't know the thread count.

i'll have to check but i think 14mm  x 1.25

thanks man but i got the threads cleaned up and the lug nut on.....all it took was 5 min with the file to get rid of the burrs an a little bit of oil and it threaded on easy as pie  :yesnod:

i realize you got it fixed but just for future reference they are 12 not 14 mmm studs.

I would replace it. Do not take a chance on reusing a damaged thread on something that holds the tire/wheel on.

It should not be that hard to get a good used replacement.

I agree with cruzilla on this!  I've seen many people clean up the burrs only to have the lugnut seize up on the stud!  And then you'll have to replace it anyway!  The last thing you want to do is change a flat on the trail and have to break off a stud, and try to drive out with only 5 studs holding on the wheel!
