what do you think? i DD my junk, it has 33's and im thinking 4.56s will be good......its a manual tranny. right now it has 4.10s. i drive about 60mi a day and don't really want the rig to be too low. Bigmike suggests 4.88s for 35's so im thinkin 4.88s will be too low for a DD. anyway, what do YOU think?

you have future plans. if the biggest you go with tire size is 35-37" then i would go either 4:88s or 5:29s. ive seen rigs up here with 4:56s and 35s cruise down the road like stock. still gets decent gas milage. think of your future plans and go on from there. buy them once versous how many times you decide to change tire size

4.56s with 35s drive like stock? sounds fishy. i wanted to go 4.56s because im probably going to swap in a 3rz in a couple of years. since that engine has more power, the lower gears wouldn't be nessesary. probably the biggest i'll go is 35, if even that. probably stay at 33 or 34s. Daily driving is a big big factor. i need the better mpg. "i want my mpg"

having a lifted truck doesn't mean i HAVE to sacrafice miles per gallon...there ARE ways to get good MPG. i currently get 18-21 and that's fine with me...but i don't want to end up getting 12mpg just for a little umph with a lower gear.

"buy a honda"..um, i am actually looking for a 1984-1987 corolla...perferbly with the twin cams hatchback. so i'll pass on the honda

going deeper in the gears will get you better mileage, i'd recommend 4.88s for 33s unless you have 160hp like mike...

good looking out with the opinions... since i will be swapping in a 3rz in the future, im going with 4.56s. i think with 4.88s and 33's my rpms will be too high for highway driving, be good for the trails though.
