i was woundering roughly how much would a complete 1985 running gear and suspention be worth? im talking front and rear axles, driveshafts, transmission, t-case, *no engine*, springs, shacles, the works!

my other question is...is it possible to take the suspention and running gear off and 85 4x4 and put it on a 79 2x4?

Price Depends on condition of parts milage Lockers & Gears.  is it all stock ? and with some work like a sas kit from marlin the 85 stuff would be good to put under a 79 Just be ready for lots of work ,welding and figuring things out.  IMO

You DO NOT want auto locking hubs, stick with manual.

If they have 120,000 miles on them I would say maybe 600-800.

Maybe $1000 but you had better inspect everything.
Pull the thirds out and check the gears for any uneven wear or markings, shavings in the oil, etc... inspect the trany and t-case.  Springs, Driveshafts, Shackles, steering, brakes are a dime a dozen, at least here in WA they are.

man, it'll cost you as much as a used 85 truck or 4runner (i'd only pay 1100 at most)...unless all parts are rebuilt and are in immaculate shape..(i'd say around 1500)

$500-600 max.  Axles are worth about $300 or so, tranny about $200, and none of the other stuff is worth too much really
