Topic: camburg long travel

Has anyone here had experience with Camburg's long travel suspension kit? My buddy is seriously considering this kit and any feedback would be great. The vehicle is a Toyota(naturally) and is an 01' taco with the 6cyl and 5sp. Thanks, Burny

Your buddy is better off getting a kit from Total chaos, What I heard from know someone who had one, said it never cycled the way it was supposed to and something about their product liability wasn't as good as the Chaos kit. I'll call my buddy some time during the week and find out exactly what & why.

OK, this is what I've heard from my buddy. Him and his buddy used these kits, 1 Camburg, the other Total Chaos. The guy with the camburg kit had the upper and lower setup, the guy with the Total Chaos only had the upper A arm kit was able to cycle more wheel travel than his buddy with the complete camburg kit. Now, the guy with the T.C. kit has the complete upper & lower A arm kit and has it tuned to cycle 15"(13" is the mfg. rating). Plus, T.C. is nicer to deal with, I've met Nicole (Co-owner of T.C.)before and she is really cool and helpful to her customers when they have problems. Hope that helps your buddy out.

My vote is Total Chaos.  They have there dialed for the Toyota, camburg makes good set ups for fords, but not really impressed with the Toy products.
I have seen a Total Chaos kit take one hell of a beating on a 2wd Toy, with a 350 out in the sand dunes.

My sister soon to be husband has the Chaos kit on his third Gen extra cab and so does his uncle.  they love the suspension to death.  they take there trucks down to Baja every year for the baja 1000 and hit the dirt.
